Příčný vrch is a mountain in the Opawskie Mountains (Zlatohorská vrchovina), part of the Eastern Sudetes, in the north-eastern Czech Republic. With an elevation of 975 m (3,199 ft), it is the highest peak of the Opawskie Mountains / Zlatohorská Highlands.[1]
Geography
Příčný vrch lies south of the town of Zlaté Hory in the Jeseník District of the Olomouc Region.[2]
According to official Czech topographic data provided by the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre, the summit reaches approximately 975 metres above sea level.[1]
Geology and mining history
The area around Zlaté Hory is historically associated with ore mining, particularly gold extraction. The Czech Geological Survey lists the Starohoří mining district below the ridge of Příčný vrch as an important geological locality.[3]
Tourism
The southern slopes of the mountain are used for recreation, including the Příčná ski area near Zlaté Hory.[4]
