Oxyopes dumonti is a species of spider in the family Oxyopidae.[2] It is commonly known as Dumont's lynx spider.[3]

Distribution

Oxyopes dumonti occurs in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Réunion, Seychelles, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.[2] In South Africa, the species has been recorded from three provinces at altitudes ranging from 317 to 951 m above sea level.[3]

Habitat and ecology

The species has been found primarily in Savanna and Thicket biomes.[3] It appears to be well-adapted to the warmer, drier environments characteristic of these biome types.
