Otto Gerson
Otto Gerson was a German-born American art dealer (1902-1962).[1][2][3][4]
In 1939, Gerson married Ilse Goehler and together they owned three art galleries, the Gerson Gallery (also called the Otto Gerson Gallery), Marlborough-Gerson Gallery and Fine Arts Associates.[1][2][4][5]
Gerson held numerous exhibitions and printed many art catalogues.[6][7][8] Art dealer Jane Wade worked for Otto Gerson and played an important role in the success of the gallery.[9][10]
Artworks sold by Gerson are in many museums, including the Detroit Institute of Art,[11] the Kimbell Art Museum,[12] the Norton Simon Museum,[13][14] the MoMa,[15][16] the Cleveland Museum of Art,[17] the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston,[18] the National Gallery of Art[19] and many others.
