Nowa Ruda is a railway station in Nowa Ruda, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of south-western Poland. The station lies on railway line 286 between Kłodzko Główne and Wałbrzych Główny.[2][3]
The station serves the town of Nowa Ruda in Kłodzko County and forms part of the regional rail network in the Sudetes area.[2]
History
The station was opened in 1879 during the construction of the railway route connecting Wałbrzych with the Kłodzko Valley. The line formed part of the expanding railway network in Lower Silesia and provided an important connection between industrial centres in the Wałbrzych region and the Kłodzko area.
Nowa Ruda developed as a local passenger and freight station serving the town and nearby coal mining areas.
Station layout
According to PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe infrastructure documentation, Nowa Ruda station has two platforms serving two tracks.[1]
The station building and platforms are located near Kolejowa Street and provide the main passenger rail access point for the town.[2]
Services
Nowa Ruda is served by regional passenger trains operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie.[4]
Regional services run from the station towards Wałbrzych Miasto, Wałbrzych Główny, Kłodzko Miasto, Kłodzko Główne and Kudowa-Zdrój.[4]
