Norris is an unincorporated community located in Scott County, Mississippi. Norris is located along Mississippi Highway 501, approximately 5.3 miles (8.5 km) south-southeast of Forest.
History
Norris was first settled in the 1840s and is named for Norris Williamson. The former Norris school was founded in 1856.[2]
A post office operated under the name Norris from 1891 to 1931.[3]
In 1900, Norris had a population of 21.[4]
