"No Wahala" is a song by Nigerian singer-songwriter 1da Banton. It was released on 2 July 2021 by Squareball Entertainment as the lead single from his debut studio album Original Vibe Machine (2021).[1]. It was written by 1Da Banton and produced by Blaisebeatz.[2] The song became a hit and went viral on TikTok,[3] peaking at number 15 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs charts.[4] Following the success of "No Wahala", Squareball Entertainment issued a remix to the song, featuring new verses from Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Savage, in March 2022.[5]
Background and reception
1da Banton sings in Nigerian Pidgin, a mantra perfect with the element of afro pop and a slow-bopping tune.[6][7] Premium Times included No Wahala in the best 25 Nigerian songs of 2021.[8]
In 2022, he announced the "No wahala" tour.[9]
Commercial performance
The song peaks at number 15 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. It also charted in several Apple Music top songs charts.[10] The song also contributed to 1Da Banton's inclusion on Dataleum's List of Top 10 Nigerian Artistes on YouTube in 2022.[11]
On April 10 2023, it surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it one of the most streamed afrobeat songs on the platform.[12]

1Da Banton released a remix with Tiwa Savage and Kizz Daniel.[13][14]
Music video
The music video was released on July 20, 2021, and directed by Nigerian veteran cinematographer, Adasa Cookey.[15]
