Nikitha Rajesh is an Indian actress and former child artist who appears in Tamil and Malayalam television. Beginning her career as a child artist at the age of three-and-a-half, she gained widespread recognition for her role as "Jaanikutty" in the Malayalam serial Manjurukum Kaalam[1] and later established herself as a leading actress in the Tamil television industry with series such as Suryavamsam and Malli.[2]
Early life
Nikitha was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Her father, Rajesh, is a television serial director, and her mother is employed in the Forest Department. She attended Saraswathi Vidyalaya in Vattiyoorkavu, Thiruvananthapuram.[3][4]
Career
Nikitha made her debut at the age of 3 in the Asianet serial Omanathinkal Pakshi, playing Annamol.[5] She subsequently appeared in numerous Malayalam television projects as a child artist, including mythological series Devimahathmyam, Rahasyam, Sasneham, Sree Guruvayoorappan and Junior Chanakyan.[6][7]
Her transition to the Tamil television industry began with a role in the supernatural drama Arundhathi (2019) on Sun TV, where she played the character Deivanai.[8] In 2020, she was cast as the lead protagonist "Samantha" in the Zee Tamil series Suryavamsam, starring alongside Poornima Bhagyaraj.[9] In 2024, she returned to Sun TV to play the titular lead role in Malli.[10]
