Nigar Mirzazada (born 19 September 2002) is an Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships and the bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games.[1][2]

Career

Mirzazada won the bronze medal in the girls' freestyle 65 kg event at the 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival held in Baku.[3]

In 2022, she won the silver medal at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra in the women's freestyle 65 kg category.[4] In the same year, she also won the bronze medal at the 2022 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Plovdiv.[5]

At senior level, Mirzazada competed at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships, where she finished 12th.[6] In 2024, she entered the 2024 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Azerbaijan.[7]

In November 2025, Mirzazada won the bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh in the women's freestyle 68 kg division. UWW's event coverage reported that she came back from 7–0 down against Indonesia's Desi Sinta to win 12–7, and later received a forfeit win against Bangladesh's Halima Akter in the bronze-medal bout.[8] Azerbaijani media also listed her among the country's bronze medalists at the Games.[9]
