Natsional'nost': net (Russian: «Национальность: нет», lit. 'Nationality: None') is the fourth studio album by Russian rapper Oxxxymiron, released on 16 December 2025,[1] four years after his previous one.[2] The album consists of 8 tracks.

The album's release was announced by the artist in the spring of 2024.[3] Its title is a reference to the wanted person card issued by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, which declared Oxxxymiron wanted on 9 May 2024, where the database entry for citizen Fedorov listed "none" in the nationality field.[4]

The album was predominantly received negatively by music critics, journalists, and listeners.

Background and context

In November 2024, Oxxxymiron announced the postponement of his Dolce Vita concert tour by a year, citing health issues[1].

In March 2025, the seventh season of the podcast "Doch razboynika" (Daughter of a Robber) by journalist Nastya Krasilnikova, titled "Tvorcheskiy metod" (Creative Method), was released. In it, three women spoke about their communication with the artist in the late 2000s – early 2010s, when they were between 13 and 16 years old, and Fedorov was over 20. The podcast's subjects accused him of grooming and sexualized abuse. Their stories caused significant media resonance and led to criticism directed at the musician[5][6][4].

After the podcast's release and until the album's release, the artist did not comment to the media and was publicly silent on social media for over a year[1].

Content

The opening track "Kak moi dela" (How I'm Doing) contains the lines: "Bronzovyy zagar. Zolotoy pesok. / Serebryanyy vek. Platinovyy schet. / Chem zhe on bolel? Stolko raznykh slukhov. / Otkroyu sekret — eto byla zheltukha" (Bronze tan. Golden sand. / Silver age. Platinum account. / What was he sick with? So many different rumors. / I'll let you in on a secret — it was jaundice)[1]. The word "zheltukha" (jaundice) was interpreted by listeners as a metaphor, alluding to the term "yellow journalism" and a response to the media criticism associated with Oxxxymiron following the publication of materials about his alleged grooming of girls.[7]

The album's main themes are: material well-being, travel, emigration, and romantic relationships. In the lyrics, the artist mentions expensive watches (Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Grand Seiko), claims to live in a "Tuscan village," and describes himself as a "multi-millionaire"[7].

The track "Russkaya inorodnaya muzyka" (Russian Alien Music) contains the lines: "Pokhui na generalov, na liberalov, pokhui na lyubyye povestki" (Fuck the generals, fuck the liberals, fuck any agenda)[7]. The album contains no explicit commentary on the accusations in the "Doch razboynika" podcast, which was confirmed by the podcast's author, Nastya Krasilnikova[7].

Reception

The album received predominantly negative reviews from music critics and listeners[7].

Rapper Zamay criticized the album for its outdated sound, themes, and mixing problems. According to him, "the problem with the album is that Oxxxymiron has nothing to offer in the money-flexing genre. His main skill is good lyrics, encoded punchlines, but the genre of songs about flexing money doesn't need good lyrics." Zamay also noted that the artist is "lagging behind Russian rap by about five years now"[7].

Music critic Nikolai Redkin noted the discrepancy between the display of wealth and the absence of the introspection characteristic of Oxxxymiron's previous works: "For ten years, the man agonized over getting slapped in the face. He constantly doubted himself, soul-searched, openly spoke about crises and problems [...] But in the year when the main news stories around Oxxxymiron were rumors about his illness, the cancellation of a major tour, and some podcast, he suddenly released an album about being rich and loved"[7].

Rapper Schokk (Dima Bamberg) compared the album's themes to his own work from 2012–2013, when he similarly described life in Europe and material well-being, remarking: "Those were tough times"[7].

Music critic Anton Savenko noted the questionable nature of some of the artist's punchlines and provided one as an example: "Ty vydal odnu vodu, ty vylytyy chaynik" (You produced water, you're a kettle)[7].

Music reviewer Polina Shandrak from the media project "Vot Tak" wrote that the artist "declares his complete independence: the musician does not submit to any authority, does not agree to compromises, and does not follow others' rules".[8]
