Nanosystems: Molecular machinery, manufacturing and computation is a 1992 non-fiction book by American engineer K. Eric Drexler.[1]

It is an introduction to molecular nanotechnology, postulating that this technology will revolutionize human life in the near future. The book expanded on ideas previously explored in Engines of Creation (1986),[2] providing a scientific framework for how such technology would function.[3]

The book was criticized by some in the scientific community at the time of its publication.[4] However, Drexel's claims about nanotechnology had a pronounced impact on the field of futurology.[3]
