NBC News Studios is the documentary and scripted production arm of NBC News which is part of NBCUniversal News Group itself being a division of NBCUniversal. It produces non-scripted and documentary-related programmes for NBCUniversal's own broadcast networks and its own streaming service Peacock.
History
In January 2020 when NBC News had shuttered down its previous non-fiction documentary unit Peacock Productions in that same month, NBC News announced its return to the documentary business by launching its own in-house production studio named NBC News Studios, the new division would produce its own premium documentaries, docu-series, select scripted programming for broadcast networks and streaming services including NBCUniversal's own platform Peacock.[1]
