Munirat Buba Marwa (born 1956) is the wife of Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, a Nigerian military officer and politician. She is known for her role as the former first lady of Lagos State, supporting her husband during his tenure as military administrator from 1996 to 1999.[1][2][3][4][5]

Personal life

She is married to Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, the chairman and CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).[6][7][8][9] She is the mother-in-law to Muhammad Turad Sha'aban, who is married to Hanan Buhari, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari.[10][11] Her son Imran graduated with a First Class in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.[12][13] Her mother, Hajiya Zainab Hussain, passed away in June 2025 at the age of 76.[14][15][16]
