Mokelemys is an extinct genus of erymnochelyin turtle that lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the Zanclean stage of the Pliocene epoch.[1]
Etymology
Mokelemys mbembe is named after the cryptid mokele-mbembe.[2]
