Michelle Paress is an American actress. She starred in the HBO series The Wire as reporter Alma Gutierrez;[1][2] Paress joined the cast in the show's fifth season.[3] In 1996, she married a former star of the show, actor Lawrence Gilliard Jr.[4][5] They divorced in 2020.[6]
