Mankovce (Hungarian: Mankóc) is a village and municipality in Zlaté Moravce District of the Nitra Region, in western-central Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1345. The name of the city in Hungarian is Mankóc, earlier Mankócz ("Great auk", Pinguinus impennis).[4]

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 241 metres (791 ft)[3] and covers an area of 4.23 km2 (1.63 sq mi) (2024).[5]
