Malinová, Slovakia

Malinová (German: Zeche; Hungarian: Csék) is a village and municipality in Prievidza District in the Trenčín Region of western Slovakia. It lies about 15 km north of the town of Prievidza. The village belonged to the German language island Hauerland. The German population was expelled in 1944.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1339.

It has a population of 1011 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 972 people by ethnicity 943 as Slovak, 30 as German, 12 as Not found out, 4 as Czech, 3 as Other, 2 as Romani, 1 as Russian and 1 as Hungarian.

In year 2021 was 972 people by religion 468 from None, 451 from Roman Catholic Church, 16 from Not found out, 10 from Christian Congregations in Slovakia, 10 from Evangelical Church, 7 from Greek Catholic Church, 4 from Other and not ascertained christian church, 2 from Other, 2 from Buddhism, 1 from Jewish community and 1 from Calvinist Church.
