Lucia Aura González Domínguez (born 19 October 1931), known professionally as Lucy González, is a Mexican actress.

Life and career

Born on 19 October 1931 in Comalcalco, Tabasco, she emigrated to Mexico City with her family, where she prepared herself to be a secretary, to later work for the film distributor company "Películas Nacionales". There, she was also in charge of film edition, making the necessary cuts in multiple Mexican films by viewing each frame. Captivated by the film industry, she enrolled in acting at the Andrés Soler Academy, of the National Association of Actors (ANDA).[1]

She made her film debut in 1954 with the films Cadena de mentiras (1955) and Chilam Balam (1955), both released in 1955. Working during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, her later films of that period included El hombre que quiso ser pobre (1956), Policías y ladrones (1956) and Las medias de seda (1956).[2]

Although she never achieved the commercial success, she continued doing films, compassing projects such as Hora y media de balazos (1957), ¡Paso a la juventud..! (1958), Una gira A.T.M. (1958), Al diablo con la música (1958) and Señoritas (1959).[3] Internationally, she appeared as an extra in the American film Massacre (1956). In November 1959, she married actor Víctor Jordán, with whom she had three daughters. After her performance in the feature Renuncia por motivos de salud from 1976, she retired from entertainment media. After spending her life with Víctor, he died he died on 4 May 2012.[4]

On 10 March 2026, the Xalapa City Council held a tribute in her honor with the projection of some of her films to commemorate her professional career.[5][6]
