Luísa Cruz[1] (born Maria Luísa Paiva Figueiredo da Cruz, March 6, 1962) is a Portuguese actress.
Career
Luísa Cruz, who holds a degree in Theatre and Cinema from the National Conservatory of Lisbon, began her career with the play Pílades in 1985.[2] In 1989, Cruz won her first awards: she was honored by the magazine "O Actor" as Best Young Actress and by the weekly Se7e as Best New Actress.
Theater
In the theater, she acted in several operas,[2][3][4] However, she also excels at singing fado. In March 2005, she released the album Quando Lisboa Anoitece, produced in partnership with pianist Jeff Cohen.[5]
Cinema
In film, Cruz participated in Filme do Desassossego, by João Botelho, Veneno Cura by Raquel Freire, Os Mutantes by Teresa Villaverde, and Ao Sul by Fernando Matos Silva.
Television
In television, she acted in numerous soap operas and series, such as Espírito Indomável, Morangos com Açúcar,[6] Rainha das Flores,[7] Nazaré[8], among others.
