Loricariichthys microdon[3] is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Loricariidae, the mailed catfishes, and the subfamily Loricariinae, the armoured suckermouth catfishes.[2] This catfish is endemic to Guyana where it occurs in the basin of the Rupununi.[1] This species reaches a maximum standard length of 17.6 cm (6.9 in) and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[4]
