Little Sea (Italian: Marpiccolo) is a 2009 Italian drama film directed by Alessandro Di Robilant.

Production
The film is based on the novel Stupido by Andrea Cotti.[1] was produced by Overlook Production and Rai Cinema.[2][3] Principal photography started on 29 September 2008 in Taranto, Apulia.[2] It had a budget of 1.3 million euros.[4]
Release
The film premiered at the 4th Rome Film Festival, in the Alice nella Città sidebar.[3] It was released in Italian cinemas on 15 November 2009.[4]
Reception
Variety's critic Jay Weissberg wrote: "A wired performance by newcomer Giulio Beranek and a feel for locale keep Alessandro Di Robilant's Little Sea afloat when unconvincing plot elements threaten to drench the narrative".[5]
