List of amphibians of Crete

The amphibians of Crete are represented by four species,[1][2][3][4] of which the Cretan frog is endemic to the island.[5] In the 1990s, the presence of the bullfrog was recorded in the area around lake Agia, an invasive exotic species whose eradication has been recommended by environmental authorities.[6][7]
