The Liberty Local School District is a school district located in Liberty Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. The school district serves one high school, one middle school and one elementary school.[2]
History
The Liberty Local School District formed sometime in the early 20th century, with the consolidation of several one-room school buildings.
In July 2011, the Liberty Local School District declared a fiscal emergency due to financial challenges it faced at the time, laying off nearly two dozen employees.[3] The district ended their fiscal emergency in 2014.[4]
Liberty's former high school was closed in 1999. It transformed into a community recreation center in 2018.[5]
