Leon Independent School District is a public school district based in Jewett, Texas, United States.
In addition to Jewett, the district serves the city of Marquez. A small portion of the district extends into northeastern Robertson County.
The district has three campuses – Leon High (grades 9-12), Leon Junior High (grades 7-8), and Leon Elementary (prekindergarten-grade 6). The school mascot is the cougar. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]
