Lee Cronin's The Mummy (or simply The Mummy) is an upcoming American supernatural horror film written and directed by Lee Cronin. A reimagining of The Mummy franchise, the film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Verónica Falcón. James Wan and Jason Blum produce the film through their respective production banners, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse Productions, alongside Wicked/Good.
Lee Cronin's The Mummy is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 17, 2026, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Premise
The young daughter of a journalist disappears without a trace in the desert. The shattered family is stunned when the girl suddenly reappears eight years later. But what should have been a joyful family reunion quickly turns into a true nightmare.[1]

Production
In June 2024, New Line Cinema dated an untitled film written and directed by Lee Cronin for April 17, 2026.[2] The following December, the untitled film was revealed to be a reimagining of The Mummy, entitled Lee Cronin's The Mummy. Blumhouse Productions, Atomic Monster, and Cronin's production banner Doppelgängers (later renamed Wicked/Good) produced for New Line Cinema.[3][4]
In March 2025, Jack Reynor and Laia Costa were cast in the film.[5][6] In the subsequent months, Verónica Falcón, May Calamawy, May Elghety, Natalie Grace, Shylo Molina and Billie Roy joined the cast.[7][8] In July, Hayat Kamille was added to the cast.[9]
Principal photography began in Ireland and Spain on March 24, 2025, and concluded on June 25.[10][11][12]
Release
Lee Cronin's The Mummy is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 17, 2026.[3][4][13]
