Killing Boy
Killing Boy is an alternative Japanese rock band formed in 2010 by musicians from the Japanese indie and alternative rock scene.[1] The group first rose as a collaborative project between artists who were already established in the Japanese rock scene.[1]
History
In 2010, Killing Boy was established by guitarist and vocalist Riki Kinoshita.[1] Riki is also known for his work with the Japanese alternative rock band ART-SCHOOL. He collaborated with bassist Hinata Hidekazu, a member of the bands Straightener and Nothing's Carved in Stone.[2] Together, they would bring in musicians from several influential Japanese rock groups, creating a supergroup lineup.
The band's early performances included guitarist Shinichi Ito (formerly of SPARTA LOCALS and HINTO) and drummer Takanori Okita, who had worked with Nothing's Carved in Stone.[1] The band made its first official appearance at the Japanese music festival COUNTDOWN JAPAN (2010-2011 edition).[3]

Killing Boy served as the band's debut album, which was released through the independent label VeryApe Records.[8][5] Their second album, Destroying Beauty, was released UK.PROJECT, featuring eight tracks.
