Kantong Tungngern (Thai: ก้านตอง ทุ่งเงิน; born February 29, 1988) is a Thai female Luk Thung singer from Ubon Ratchathani. She is the singer for GMM Grammy.[1]
Early Life and career
Kantong Tungngern which real name Piyada Bunmee is born on February 29, 1988 in Ban Non Kho, Nong Kho Subdistrict, Buntharik District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Her parents were Sanga Bunmee and Samran Bunmee. She was the youngest of her 5 siblings, she has two sisters and two brothers. She finished elementary school at Ban Non Kho School and graduated at Rattana Bundit University. She started singing at the age of 5 and then start her career to get money for her education.[2] Her name appeared in social media by her song called Jue Bor which got over 14 million streams on Spotify on September 2024.[3][4]
Personal life
Before getting famous, she used some of her income to buy a house for her mom.[5] Tungngern was the sister of Dokaor Toongtong who is also a famous Luk Thung singer.[6]
