Kaneri was a Jagir under the Sailana State of Malwa Agency in Central India. It was Ruled by Rathore Rajputs. Kaneri was one of the Thikana which were existing at the time of the independence of India and were merged with Madhya Pradesh.[1]
Kaneri was first class jagir in the Sailana State and were permitted to wear gold anklets and, at their succession, are installed by the Ruler himself. When attending Durbar they are ordinarily received with dohri-tazim and among other privileges, have abdagiri, danka, nishan, chhari and ghari.[2]
History
Kaneri is First Class Jagirdar of Sailana State with approx revenue of ₹ 50,000.[2] Kaneri was firstly ruled by Rathore Of Prithivrajot Clan Till Thakur Himmat Singh who died in his teenage.[3] Later, Kaneri was given as jagir to Rajkumar Ramchandra Singh Of Sailana, Fourth Son of Jashwant Singh II of Sailana State.[1][4]
Rulers
The rulers of Kaneri belong to the Rathore dynasty and held the title of Thakur till Thakur Himmat Singh of Prithivrajot Clan of Rathore .[5] Later Maharaj After Succession by Ramchandra Singh Of Sailana Who belong to Ratansinghot Clan .[5]

Kaneri is Located Southwesteen part of present-day Ratlam District, of Madhya Pradesh, India[6]
