Julio Fernández Atienza was a Chilean government official who briefly served as Ministry Secretary-General of Government during the military government of General Augusto Pinochet.[1]
He also participated among the authorities involved in the institutional process that proclaimed the cueca as Chile's national dance, a cultural initiative consolidated in 1979.[2]
