Julian Muazzam James is a major general in the Pakistan Army. He has served as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Air Defence Division. James was born in Kohat, Pakistan. He attended the Pakistan Military Academy and graduated from the 92nd Long Course.[6]

In early July 2024, Pakistani media reported that James was among the brigadiers promoted to major general.[3][4] Coverage of the promotion highlighted the milestone for minority representation in senior military leadership, describing him as the first Pakistani Christian SSG commando officer to reach the two-star rank.[5][9]

Following the promotion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a congratulatory message carried by state and government channels. 3 Air Defence Division
The 3 Air Defence Division is an operational formation within the Pakistan Army’s air-defence structure.
