The Journal of Comparative Physiology B: Biochemical, Systemic, and Environmental Physiology is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal of comparative physiology, established in 1984, after its split off from the Journal of Comparative Physiology. The editor-in-chief is Gerhard Heldmaier (Universität Marburg). The journal became electronic only in 2017.

The journal places special emphasis on integrative studies comprising molecular, cellular, and systemic physiology, highlights the environmental adaptation and evolutionary aspects of physiology, covers a broad range of physiological subjects, including metabolism, respiration, circulation, endocrines, energetics, and thermal biology, and reports on the current state of knowledge in comparative physiology and research direction.[1]
