John Anderson Hartley

John Anderson Hartley (27 August 1844 โ€“ 15 September 1896) was an Australian educator and Vice Chancellor of the University of Adelaide from 1893 to 1896.[1]

Hartley married Elizabeth Annie Green, sister-in-law of headmaster Rev. Robert Crooke.[2]

His funeral procession was led by six headmasters and 3,000 children.[3]
