Jelšovce (Hungarian: Nyitraegerszeg) is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region.[4]

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1326.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 145 metres (476 ft)[3] and covers an area of 10.44 km2 (4.03 sq mi) (2024).[5]
