JP Richardson (software engineer)

Jon Paul Richardson is an American software engineer. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Exodus, a multi-asset cryptocurrency wallet and Web3 platform.[1][2][3][4] He served as Exodus' president form July 2016 until July 2019. He is recognized for his contributions to open-source blockchain development, and for co-leading Exodus during the first SEC-qualified Reg A+ public offering of tokenized shares in the United States.[5][6][7]

Education

JP Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.[8]

Career

Before co-founding Exodus, Richardson built Coin Bolt in 2013, a mobile Bitcoin wallet. It was later listed as non-operational and was shut down.[8]

He has published over 200 open-source libraries and contributed code used by much of the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency software available today.[9]

Life

JP Richardson lives in Omaha, Nebraska, US.[10]
