Isidro Ramón Antonio Ayora Cueva (31 August 1879[1] – 22 March 1978)[2] was an Ecuadorian political figure. He served as the 22nd President of Ecuador from 1926 to 1931. Isidro Ayora, a town in Guayas, and Puerto Ayora, are named after him. Some people call coins ayora[3] because they were introduced by him.

Upon his death in 1978 at age 98, Ayora was the longest-living Ecuadorian president. His record was surpassed by Guillermo Rodríguez in 2023 when Rodríguez turned 100.[4]
