The Insurance Companies Act 1982 (c. 50) was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that consolidated enactments relating to insurance companies in the United Kingdom.[1]

Subsequent developments
The whole act was repealed by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Consequential Amendments and Repeals) Order 2001 (SI 2001/3649), made under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, which came into force on 1 December 2001.[3]
