Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu Listen (born 9 April 1984) is a Nigerian engineer and politician who has served as deputy governor of Abia State since 2023.[1]

Life and career

Emetu is from Ohafia.[2] He is a petrochemical engineer. According to a statement by Governor Alex Otti released by the News Agency of Nigeria, Emetu was selected as the party’s running mate ahead of the 2023 Abia State gubernatorial election.[1] He received his certificate of return on 29 March 2023.[3][4]

Deputy governorship

Emetu assumed office as Deputy Governor of Abia State on 29 May 2023 following the inauguration of the state executive.[5]

Public statements

In December 2024, Emetu stated that the Abia State government was committed to fostering a business-friendly environment aimed at attracting investment and supporting entrepreneurship across the state.[6]
