I Want Your Sex is a 2026 American erotic comedy thriller film directed by Gregg Araki and written by Karley Sciortino and Araki. It stars Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs, and Charli XCX.
Premise
Elliot (Hoffman) lands a job for renowned and provocative artist Erika Tracy (Wilde). His fantasies come true as Erika hires him to become her sexual muse.[1]

Production
In May 2024, it was reported that a thriller film directed by Gregg Araki and co-written by Karley Sciortino titled I Want Your Sex was in development, with Olivia Wilde cast in the lead role.[2] In August, Cooper Hoffman joined the cast as Elliot and Charli XCX joined in an undisclosed role.[1][3] In late October, Daveed Diggs, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Johnny Knoxville and Margaret Cho joined the cast.[4] In November, Roxane Mesquida revealed that she joined the film.[5]
Filming
Principal photography began on October 2, 2024, in Los Angeles.[1][6] Filming wrapped on October 27.[4]
Release
I Want Your Sex premiered at the Eccles Theater as part of the 2026 Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2026.[7][8] In February 2026, Magnolia Pictures acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film in a seven-figure deal.[9]
Reception
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 88% of 34 critics' reviews are positive.[10]
