Hranovnica (German: Grenitz or Gränitz, Hungarian: Szepesvéghely) is a village and municipality in Poprad District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia, and the second biggest village by population in the district.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1294.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 610 metres (2,000 ft)[3] and covers an area of 32.64 km2 (12.60 sq mi) (2024).[4]
