Hernán Abad Cid was a Chilean public official who served as Minister of Public Works from 5 June 1989 until 11 March 1990.

His public service included involvement in infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Carretera Austral.[1]

Abad was appointed Minister of Public Works in 1989, succeeding Bruno Siebert in that position. His tenure in office lasted until 11 March 1990, as part of the governmental structure of the State.[2]
