Goeppertia lietzei (syn. Calathea lietzei) is a species of plant belonging to the genus Goeppertia of the Marantaceae family, native to eastern Brazil.[1]
Goeppertia lietzei has been introduced to El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico.[1][2] It can be considered invasive in West Java, Indonesia.[3][4] It has also been reported as growing in disturbed forest in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.[5] In Indonesia, it is locally known as Kalatea batik.[6][7]
'Stella', 'White Fusion', and 'Yellow Fusion' are cultivated varieties.[8]
