"Freaking Out the Neighborhood" is a song by Mac DeMarco. It appears as the third track on his second studio album 2 and came out as a single ahead of the full release.[1]
Background
DeMarco wrote the song as an apology to his mother because at a live show while drunk he stripped down and put a pair of drumsticks in his rectum. The incident was filmed and the clip spread online until his mother and aunt saw it.[2][3][4]
