Fiskville is a formerly incorporated town in Union Township, Montgomery County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[1]
It is located within the city limits of Crawfordsville. Fiskville was annexed by Crawfordsville in 1910.[2] [3][4]
The town was founded by a former court reporter named Charles H. Fiske.[5][6][7] The push for Crawfordsville to annex adjoining communities including Fiskville, Longview, Highland, and others, dated back until at least 1890, with the argument being that census numbers were not truly reflecting Crawfordsville's true size.[8]

Crawfordsville. —The incorporated towns of Englewood, Fiskville, Highland and Longview, suburbs to this city, were made a part of Crawfordsville when the city council passed an ordinance extending the city limits. The addition of this territory will give this city a large increase in population, probably raising it to a fourth class city.

Two township schools - Highland and Fiskville became part of the school system in 1910 as a result of annexations.
