Erub Island is an island locality in the Torres Strait Island Region, Queensland, Australia.[4] The locality contains only the island called Darnley Island (but is also known as Erub).[5] The town on the island is also called Darnley Island.[6] In the 2021 census, Erub Island had a population of 326 people.[3]

Education
Tagai State College operates across 17 campuses on the Torres Strait Islands. The Darnley Island has a primary (Early Childhood-6) campus of Tagai State College (9°35′43″S 143°45′36″E / 9.5952°S 143.7601°E).[8][9]
