Yerofey or Erofey (Russian: Ерофей is a Russian given name, an equivalent of Hierotheos. An archaic form, still used as a monastic name is Iyerofey (Иерофей. It is the base for a number of surnames: Yerofeyev; from diminutives: Yeroshkin, Yeroshin, Yerokhin, Yeroshchenko, Yeroshenko.
