Elīna Ieva Bota (née Vītola; born 14 May 2000) is a Latvian luger who represented Latvia at the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics.

Career

Bota represented Latvia at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in the singles event, where she finished in 18th place.[1][2]

At the 2024 FIL World Luge Championships, she won bronze medals in the sprint event and the team relay.[3]

On February 10, 2026, at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, Bota won the silver medal in the luge women's singles,[4] which made her the first Latvian woman to win any Winter Olympic medal in individual competitions.[5]

Personal life

On 5 July 2024, Bota married luger Mārtiņš Bots, who has also represented Latvia at the 2022 Winter Olympics.[6]
