Doctify is a global healthcare technology company and online healthcare review platform. The company connects patients with healthcare providers, enables clinicians and organisations to collect verified patient feedback, and supports peer-to-peer professional skill endorsements and networking.

History

Doctify was co‑founded by NHS trauma and orthopaedic surgeons Stephanie Eltz and Suman Saha in London in 2015. The idea originated from Eltz's difficulty in finding an appropriate specialist quickly and reliably, and from both founders' experience of the need for greater transparency and trust in healthcare.[1] In 2016, Eltz and Saha were selected for the inaugural cohort of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, which supports clinicians who are developing innovations intended to improve patient care within the NHS.[2][3] In 2017, the company was named Health Tech Start-Up of the Year at The ACW Awards.[4]

In 2020, Doctify was awarded Vitality Supplier of the Year.[5] In 2021, the company launched a white‑label product for health insurance consultant finders. Doctify was included in the Financial Times FT 1000 ranking of Europe's fastest-growing companies in both 2022 and 2024. In the 2022 ranking, Doctify was listed as the second fastest growing healthtech company in the UK and the 19th fastest-growing healthtech company in Europe.[6][7]  In April 2021 Doctify raised an additional funding round led by Keen Venture Partners.[8] At the same year, Stephanie Eltz was named one of the fifty most inspirational women in technology in the UK by the Inspiring Fifty Awards.[9][10] Also, Suman Saha was listed among Britain's Leading Asian Tech Pioneers.[11][12]

In 2022, Doctify won Most Successful Scale Up at The Hustle Awards,[13] Healthcare Pioneer at the UK Business Tech Awards.[14] In February 2023, Doctify closed a funding round led by Beringea, with participation from existing investors Keen Venture Partners, Amadeus Capital Partners and Guinness Ventures.[15][16]  In 2025, Doctify introduced the Doctify Network, a professional networking feature for clinicians and providers.[17]

Services and platform

Doctify operates as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) marketplace for patients and healthcare providers.[18]

Patient-facing features include free search of clinicians, clinics and hospitals by speciality, condition or location; access to booking details; and verified reviews tagged by treatment or condition.[19][20][21]

Provider-facing features include tools to collect and publish patient feedback, website integrations, analytics by condition or procedure, and survey options aligned with standards such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) and NHS requirements.[22][23]

Professional features allow clinicians to give skill endorsements to colleagues, manage referrals and collaborate across specialties and organisations.[24][25]
