David Frank Long (born September 6, 1944) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) who played seven seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals and New Orleans Saints. Long played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes.[1] He was selected in the third round of the 1966 NFL draft with the 43rd overall pick.[2]
