Daniella Valentina Cicardini Milla (born 31 December 1987) is a Chilean politician who serves as deputy.[2][3]
A member of the Socialist Party of Chile, she has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile representing the Atacama Region from 2014 to 2026.[4]
Early life and education
Cicardini was born on 31 December 1987 in Copiapó. She is the daughter of Maglio Honorio Cicardini Neyra, who served as mayor of Copiapó between 2008 and 2016, and Magaly Malvina Milla Montano, who was a municipal councillor of the same commune from 2012 to 2016.[4]
She completed her secondary education at Colegio Particular San Lorenzo in Copiapó. She later studied at the Catholic University of the North, where she earned a degree in marine sciences and qualified as a marine biologist in 2011.[4]
Political career
On 29 April 2013, the Political Commission of the Socialist Party of Chile proclaimed Cicardini as a candidate for the Chamber of Deputies in District No. 5. She was elected in the 2013 Chilean parliamentary election, beginning her first term in 2014.[4]
In 2014, she formally joined the Socialist Party of Chile.
In the 2017 Chilean general election, Cicardini was re-elected as a deputy for the 4th District of the Atacama Region, which includes the communes of Chañaral, Diego de Almagro, Copiapó, Caldera, Tierra Amarilla, Vallenar, Freirina, Huasco, and Alto del Carmen. Running as a Socialist Party candidate, she obtained 16,488 votes, corresponding to 17.58% of the valid votes cast.[4]
In August 2021, she registered her candidacy for re-election in the same district under the Nuevo Pacto Social coalition for the 2022–2026 term. In the 2021 Chilean general election, she was re-elected with the highest vote share in the district, obtaining 16,129 votes (16.33% of the valid votes).[4]
