Daniel Hanwen Gong is a New Zealand chess player.
Chess career
He won the New Zealand Chess Championship in 2022 and 2023.[1][2]
He played for his country in the Chess Olympiads of 2022 and 2024. In 2022, he played on the first board and scored 6.5/9, drawing against grandmasters Novendra Priasmoro and Enamul Hossain.[3] In 2024, he played on the reserve board and scored 5/9.[4]
