Damola Hannah Ojo (born 23 June 2003) is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal at the 2025 African Wrestling Championships and the silver medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games.[1][2]
Career
At the 2025 African Wrestling Championships in Casablanca, Ojo won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 76 kg event. UWW match records show that she defeated Algeria's Rayhana Benrezik by fall and then beat Egypt's Amy Youin 6–0 in the final.[3][4] Nigerian media also reported that she was one of four Nigerian women to win gold on the opening phase of the championships in Morocco.[5][6]
Later in 2025, Ojo won the silver medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh in the women's freestyle 76 kg category. Official results show that she defeated Egypt's Samar Amer Ibrahim Hamza 8–2 in the quarter-finals and Congo's Pelagie Wilita 10–0 in the semi-finals before losing to Kyrgyzstan's Aiperi Medet Kyzy in the final.[7][8]
At the 2025 U23 World Wrestling Championships, Ojo competed in the women's freestyle 76 kg category and finished 14th.[9]
